Paramount Plaza Hotel Banquet & Event Space Descriptions
Below is a list of our ballrooms, conference rooms, and other event "space", with a description of each, to help you decide where to have your next Gainesville banquet, meeting or seminar.
Pool & Gazebo
This outdoor area is used mostly for weddings & receptions. As its name implies, this meeting space encompasses our outdoor swimming pool area and a choice of two gazebos, and includes the added feature of lovely views overlooking Bivens Arm Lake and Nature Preserve. This area can accommodate receptions up to 200 people, or 120 seated at round banquet tables.
Our elegant Grand Ballroom can be used as a single space to accommodate receptions as large as 850, or banquets with 4550 seated at round banquet tables. This space can also be setup as three smaller ballrooms (A, B, C). Dimensions: 6,696 square feet, measures 62' x 108' x 10'.
Bivens Arm Lake Ballroom
This is our second largest ballroom (44' x 76' x 10'), and can be configured as two smaller ballrooms as described below. This large ballroom is often used for parties and dances.
Bivens Arm Lake North
With a maximum capacity of 235 people, this is our second largest room and also overlooks Bivens Arm Lake and Nature Preserve. The room measures 39' by 42' and has 1742 square feet, and can fit 70 seated at round banquet tables.
Bivens Arm Lake South
This is our largest conference room with 2,442 square feet and a capacity of 240 people. Overlooking Bivens Arm Lake and Nature Preserve, it is commonly used for large receptions, conferences, banquets, and seminars. It measures 66' by 37' and can fit up to 180 seated at round banquet tables.
The Kanapaha conference room is slightly smaller than the Lakeview and Paynes rooms, with a capacity of 60. It is great for small meetings of 30 or 40 people. Dimensions: 720 square feet, measures 24' x 30' x 9' and can accommodate 40 seated at round banquet tables.
Lakeview North is another mid-size meeting room with the same dimensions and capacity as Paynes Prairie and Lakeview South. It is also perfect for a small meeting of about 30 or 40 people. Dimensions: 780 square feet, measures 26' x 30' x 9' and can accommodate 40 seated at round banquet tables.
Another great room for a small meeting, this room has the same dimensions and capacity as the Paynes Prairie room, but includes a countertop in the back of the room which is perfect for displays. Dimensions: 780 square feet, measures 26' x 30' x 9' and can accommodate 40 seated at round banquet tables.
This is the perfect room for a small meeting of about 30 or 40 people, although its maximum capacity is 70. The room is used mostly for receptions, banquets, or as a classroom. Dimensions: 780 square feet, measures 26' x 30' x 9' and can accommodate 450 seated at round banquet tables.
The Alachua Boardroom is ideal for small group meetings or social events. The 12' x 20' room has a capacity of 10, and is our smallest room.
